We aim to give every child we meet the best possible sporting experience.

Charlie Owen – Directing Co-Founder

I am a very passionate and enthusiastic coach. I very much enjoy my role, developing every child I work with. I have wanted to be a sports coach from the age of 15.

I started out as an assistant football coach at a Saturday Soccer School. During this time, I consistently showed a high ability and enthusiasm to become a sports coach. In the last 3 years prior to setting up the business, I have proven that I can lead sessions to a high standard. This resulted in me becoming a joint-head coach at various after-school clubs, lunchtime clubs and soccer schools, coaching multiple sports. All the experience I have accumulated has given myself the confidence, knowledge and charisma to start the CJ Sports & Training business.
Coaching to me means being enthusiastic, because it enables children toget more out of every session, ever growing in their development . This means I am giving the children a fun, safe and exciting style of coaching which they will only enjoy as they continue to develop.

Joshua Coldicott-Stevens – Directing Co-Founder

I am very passionate about coaching, and I enjoy my role in the development of all of the children that I encounter at CJ Sports & Training. I started my coaching career by accident at 14 years old when I won an NPower competition for a week’s work experience at Stevenage Borough FC. I then volunteered one night a week and over the weekend to help coach within the community. This led to being offered a full time coaching job.

I have gained a vast amount of experience over time working with children from the age of 6 months to 12 years, covering PE
within schools, afterschool clubs, holiday clubs and birthday parties. My coaching experiences have also taken me to Portugal with my college where I completed two week’s work experience with local primary and upper schools, coaching across a variety of sports.

Coaching to me means fun! No one is a bigger kid than me when it comes to understanding the excitement of sports activitiesI believe that when children have funand enjoy what they are doing, they are learning without realising it and developing skills which can benefit them into the future.

Zoe Quinn – Head Coach

I have a real passion for teaching Physical Education to children of all ages, and at all stages of the curriculum, having graduated with a BA (hons) in Physical Education from Brighton University.

I want to help make pupil’s views of physical education enjoyable and exciting while all the time building their confidence. Pupils just starting their education, can benefit from sporting experiences which create a lasting impact on their view of school, learning and exercise, and contribute to their overall health and well-being. I like to teach children from their first fundamental movement skills and onwards, identifying and working to develop their individual potential as they grow.

Coaching to me means enjoying learning. Through my university course, I learned how primary pupils, all the way up to upper school pupils, develop creatively and intellectually. This journey is demonstrated in my own progress in sport. I have fostered a life-long interest in football as a player and captain, progressing to county level. Having taken up boxing, I successfully completed a course to become a qualified boxing coach. With the right support I believe every child can enjoy sport and be inspired to achieve more.

Fun Fact about Zoe

I enjoy football and boxing.
